NE10 Products Marshall, Maurice Join 2021 NavigatorsLYNN, Mass. -- The North Shore Navigators have added two players from one of the best Division 2 conferences in the country -- the Northeast-10 Conference -- to their roster for the New England Collegiate Baseball League’s (NECBL) upcoming season. Swampscott native Luke Marshall returns to the Navs for the second consecutive summer following an outstanding junior campaign in Stonehill’s starting rotation. The right-hander earned a spot on the All-NE10 Third Team after going 2-2 with a 4.36 ERA, 46 strikeouts and a .196 opponent’s batting average in 43.1 innings. He worked seven strong innings in two of his eight appearances for the Skyhawks. Marshall pitched in 11 games for North Shore last summer, striking out 18 in 13.1 frames while going 1-0 with one save. Another NECBL veteran joining North Shore is Saint Anselm catcher/first baseman Kyle Maurice, who played for the Winnipesaukee Muskrats back in 2018. The native of Candia, N.H., was a force in the middle of the Hawks’ lineup in 2021 after transferring from UMass Lowell as he hit .283 with four doubles, 10 home runs, 33 RBI and 28 runs scored in 29 games. Maurice was the only NE10 player to hit double-digit homers during the regular season, helping his OPS surge to 1.107. The Navigators are excited to return to the NECBL for the 2021 season, which will begin on Friday, June 4 at Lynn's historic Fraser Field.
