LYNN, Mass. -- Two senior teammates from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia are set to join the North Shore Navigators for the 2023 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) season.

First baseman Brandon Drapeau will join the North Shore club following his senior year with the Hawks during which he has hit a home run, four doubles and scored 10 runs in 20 games thus far. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound product of Mullica Hill, N.J., has logged nine career homers and is coming off hitting a career-high 14 doubles and posting 32 RBI in 2022. His lone homer of the current spring came against Old Dominion back in March. He has played two summers for the Seminole County Loggerheads of the Florida Collegiate Summer League.

Luca Trigiani, an infielder who is headed to the College of William & Mary as a graduate transfer next season, joins Navs Nation after playing the last two summers with the NECBL foe Upper Valley Nighthawks. The Brooklyn, N.Y., native is having a solid campaign at St. Joe’s, hitting .256 with seven doubles, a career-high four home runs, 18 RBI, 15 runs scored and seven stolen bases in 26 games. He has logged games against Richmond, VCU and Monmouth with at least three RBI this season. Trigiani played in 37 NECBL games last summer, driving in 14 runs and hitting seven doubles while posting a .230 average.

The Navs kick off their 16th summer of collegiate baseball on Wednesday, June 7 and will host their home opener at a renovated Fraser Field on Friday, June 9. The 2023 season includes 22 home games, as well as the return of the NECBL All-Star Game to Lynn on Sunday, July 23.
