LYNN, Mass. -- The North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) have added three more Ivy League student-athletes to their roster for the upcoming 2021 summer season.

Yale’s Cal Christofori has been a key veteran presence behind the plate throughout his college career and was elected as the team’s captain for the canceled 2021 season. The Belmont native played in 56 games during his career as a Bulldog and is set for a graduate season at Santa Clara University next year. He hit .253 with a .344 on-base percentage and 21 RBI across his three playing seasons at Yale and has played for the Cape Cod League’s Bourne Braves and Futures League’s Brockton Rox in previous summers.

Rising Princeton junior Jackson Emus will join the Navs as a pitcher this summer, making his official collegiate debut after missing the start of 2020 due to injury. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound righty from Clinton is a Phillips Andover product who was named a Perfect Game Preseason All-Northeast Region Second Team selection. He led Central New England Prep champion Andover with four wins, a 0.22 ERA and 38 strikeouts as a senior back in 2019.

Rounding out North Shore’s latest group of Ivy Leaguers is first baseman Max Zajec, who is completing his freshman year at Dartmouth. Zajec had his first college campaign wiped out this spring after being set to captain Wellesley High School as a senior in 2020. He was a three-year letterwinner for the Raiders, helping the team win 48 games in that span and appear in the state title game during his freshman year.

The Navigators are excited to return to the NECBL for the 2021 season, which will begin on Friday, June 4 at Lynn's historic Fraser Field. Stay up to date on the latest Navs news by visiting nsnavs.com and following the team on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
