Internships

The North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) are accepting internship applications for the upcoming 2026 season. 

Internships are divided into three categories and are equally important to the overall success of the organization:

  • Game Day Operations 
  • Press Box/Media Team 
  • Baseball Operations 

Descriptions of individual internships are below.  

GAME DAY OPERATIONS INTERNSHIPS

Game Day Operations interns assist the Navigators Baseball Organization in many activities required to ensure our fans enjoy their Navigators baseball experience. These activities include, but are not limited to: 

Responsibilities: 

  • 50/50 & Collections: Going through the crowd with baseball players and other interns to solicit raffle sales and attendance contributions. 
  • Clinic Support: Providing administrative assistance (e.g. filling out registrations, collecting money, giving instructions, passing out t-shirts) for our week-day morning baseball clinic. 
  • Post-Game Meals: Providing assistance (e.g. setting up tables, passing out food, picking up and delivering food) to help feed players after every game.
  • Concessions: Providing assistance to our Concession stand volunteers (e.g. grilling, clean-up, transporting food/drink, occasionally sales/serving) at all home games. 
  • Merchandise: Providing assistance to our Merchandise volunteers (e.g. set-up, take down, sales) at all home games. 
  • Post Game Clean-Up.

PRESS BOX/MEDIA TEAM INTERNSHIPS

The Navigators Press Box/Media Team is a vital group and responsible for all public relations, broadcasting, digital media and social media.

Specific positions are outlined here

Positions include: 

  • Play-by-Play Broadcaster 
  • Journalism/Beat Writer
  • Videographer
  • Photographer
  • Graphic Designer
  • Game Entertainment (home games)
  • Broadcast Producer/Director (home games)
  • Camera Operator (home games)

BASEBALL OPERATIONS/DATA ANALYTICS INTERNSHIPS

The Navigators seek five undergraduate students to join the Navigators Data Analytics team: 

DIRECTOR OF BASEBALL OPERATIONS

The Director of Baseball Operations will have experience working with a baseball-centric  analytics team and be responsible for the analytics team preparing daily reports for the coaching staff on opponents and our own players. Manage our @NavigatorsData X Page to inform the MLB scouting community of next day’s starter and metrics for both offense and pitching from the previous game. 

DATA ANALYTICS INTERN

  • Responsible for the use of two cutting edge technology platforms, Trackman Baseball and Synergy Sports, during all 2026 season home games at Fraser Field. 
  • Work closely with the Navs coaching staff to develop strategies to help our players perform at their peak level and compete for a championship. 
  • Oversee both platforms and transfer information for review by the staff, the NECBL and both companies.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with baseball statistics and be able to serve as a secondary official scorekeeper using NECBL provider Pointstreak Sports Technologies
