LYNN, Mass. -- The North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) have completed their 2021 roster with the signing of three more players, including two from local Division 2 power Franklin Pierce University.

The 2021 season marks Winthrop native Jack Wallace’s second straight with the Navs as he pitched in 13 games last summer, striking out 21 in 19.1 innings. Wallace recorded two saves and also eclipsed a strikeout per inning for Franklin Pierce during the spring, accumulating a career-high 10.20 per nine. He has gone on to make 41 career collegiate appearances for the Ravens, striking out 49 in 50.2 innings through the completion of last week’s NCAA Division 2 East Regional.

Also returning for his second year with the Navs is catcher Dylan January, who redshirted as a freshman for the Ravens in 2021. The former Swampscott standout played in 21 games for North Shore last year, reaching base at a .306 clip and recording six RBI and six runs scored. January earned Northeastern Conference and Salem News All-Star honors following his third and final varsity season for the Big Blue.

Rounding out the North Shore outfield will be Jose Aquino, a Methuen native who enjoyed a standout season at Cisco College in 2021. He hit .353 with 10 home runs, 37 RBI and 41 runs scored across 47 games, helping the Roughriders to a NJCAA regional title. Aquino enjoyed a stint with North Shore back in 2019 and has also played for the Valley League’s Purcellville Cannons.

The Navigators are excited to return to the NECBL for the 2021 season, which will begin on Friday, June 4 at Lynn's historic Fraser Field. Stay up to date on the latest Navs news by visiting nsnavs.com and following the team on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
