Navigators Look to Midwest DIII Schools to Bolster Roster

Lynn, Massachusetts --

With a roster full of Division I players, the FCBL's North Shore Navigators reached deep into their network signing 3 top Division III players.

From Benedictine University in Springfield, IL come the Hendricks brothers -- Tim and Kevin. The Mundelein, IL natives will hold down two of the Eagles’ outfield spots this spring. Kevin, a senior who missed all of the 2012 campaign with an injury, had an outstanding season in 2011. Hitting from the left side, he led the Eagles with a .386 average. His 3 home runs and 44 RBIs also led the team. The team captain was also named team MVP as well as Division III All-Midwest Region. Kevin also excels in the classroom posting a 3.7 GPA and is a perennial fixture on the Dean's List. Younger brother Tim will be a sophomore this season after hitting .269 as a freshman. Tim is a returning Navigator and blossomed during his summer on the North Shore as he hit .323, made the all-star team and was selected as the co-player of the year by his Navigator teammates. Both will play major roles in the Navs’ 2013 season.

Youngstown, Ohio native Eddie Reese from the College of Wooster in Ohio also brings his game to Lynn for the 2013 summer. Reese is a junior 2B/SS for the Fighting Scots, where he will hit in the 3 spot this spring. Reese hit .369 as a sophomore for Wooster with 7 home runs. He hopes to build on those numbers this season. The versatile Reese also was the starting quarterback for two state championship teams at perennial football powerhouse Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown. Reese lettered in football, baseball, basketball and tennis at Cardinal Mooney.

The Navigators home opener is Saturday, June 8th at 7:00 PM. Season tickets and party deck reservations are available now by calling the Navs at (781) 595-9400>. For details and schedule information “like” us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
