Hired in 1984 to be the first GM of the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Red Barons ... While waiting for the new stadium to be built, ran the team in Waterbury CT; Williamsport, PA; and Old Orchard Beach, ME ... Was the GM in Williamsport in 1987 and at Bowman Field for the infamous " Potato Game" ... Arrived in Scranton for the 1989 season and oversaw the opening of Lackawanna County Stadium -- new home for the Phillies AAA franchise ...
